Peanut Island and Dubois Park have a life guard seven days of the week from Memorial Day until Palm Beach County Public Schools start in the fall.
Peanut Island is guarded from 9:15am – 4:45pm.  When school is in session, the swimming areas at both Peanut Island and Dubois Park are guarded ONLY on the weekends until Memorial Day.  For general park info, call:  (561)-966-6600.

The beaches are great for those looking for a quiet swimming spot, as surfing and fishing are restricted to allow for family-friendly aquatic fun. Be sure to stick around for some of the concerts in the park that take place at the amphitheatre, as they have a full season of free shows that are sure to delight audiences.  Dogs are allowed.

Dubois Park, Jupiter   19075 Dubois Road, Jupiter 33477

Jupiter’s beautiful beachfront Dubois Park is a good place for the true nature lover to spend the day. Its abundance of sideways-walking hermit crabs will thrill any child, and the water in the lagoon is so shallow, once could bring a chair and sit in it. The beach area is small, but it is guarded during the winter and on weekends and holidays. The Dubois Pioneer Home and the Indian Mound historical/archaeological site are also located on this property. Free admission to park.  Dogs are allowed.  Restrooms and shower facilities are available on site.

Juno Beach Park, Juno  14775 HWY A1A, Juno Beach  33408

The Juno Beach Park is where you’ll find all the beautiful people of Juno Beach strutting their stuff along the shore. Home to Juno’s 990-foot pier, this beach attracts many an angler hoping to hook into the proverbial “one that got away.” Enjoy a day at the beach with the family as Juno Beach Park has plenty of available parking, picnic areas, miles of white sand beach, and is the site for the Ocean Rescue Headquarters. 2012 New Year’s Eve Guide

Hello 2012!

The new year is only days away and there will be a plethora of celebrations to welcome 2012.  Where will you want to be when the clock strikes midnight?

Here is your guide to some of the big events going on in Palm Beach County:

Bonerama New Year’s Eve

Saturday, Dec 31 10:00p at Bamboo Room
LakeWorth, FL

Even in a city that doesn’t play by the rules, New Orleans’ Bonerama is something different. They can evoke vintage funk, classic rock and free improvisation in the same set; maybe even the same song. When New Orleans’ Bonerama takes the stage, you can guess it’s not like any brass band you’ve seen. Founded by Mark Mullins and Craig Klein, former members of Harry Connick Jr.’s Big Band, Bonerama carries the brass band concept to places unknown.
Bonerama has been repeatedly recognized by Rolling Stone, hailed as “the ultimate in brass balls” and praised for their “…crushing ensemble riffing, human-feedback shrieks and wah-wah growls”. Bonerama carries the brass-band concept to places unknown; what other brass band could snag an honor for “Best Rock Band”?
Enjoy, party favors, hors d’oeuvres, champagne toast and drink specials at Bamboo Room and ring in the New year right when we present live from the Crescent City… Bonerama! (more…)
