Watch for the victor of what is described as NASCAR on two wheels. In addition to the cycling component, restaurants and shops at Mizner Park and Downtown Boca Raton will have race specials for all spectators. The event is FREE. The weekend is upon us once again and there is a lot happening in Palm Beach County!

Starting Thursday at noon, the 27th Annual Palm Beach International Boat  Show will begin.  This will be going on through Sunday so if you are planning to go to Clematis by Night or the famous Green Market, they will resume next week.  Same place.  Same times.  For this weekend, enjoy the scenery along the waterfront and check out the magnificent yachts, power boats and the latest marine accessories!

Show hours are Thursday noon to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Irish Pubs in Palm Beach County

Some 34 million Americans have Irish ancestry, according to the 2003 US Census. That’s almost nine times the population of Ireland, which has 4.1 million people.  However many Irish folks there are here in Palm Beach County doesn’t matter.  On March 17th, EVERYONE has a chance to be a wee-bit Irish……just be sure to wear your shamrocks and green or you’ll get pinched!  The countdown to this festive day has begun. Weekend Happenings: President’s Day Weekend FUN

4th Annual Strawberry Festival At Pine Jog Elementary

Strawberry Delight!

Do you like strawberries?  How about a Strawberry Festival?

The Pine Jog Elementary School began this annual festival three years ago and was created to celebrate the harvest of Pine Jog’s 4,000 plant hydroponic gardens and its abundant strawberry crop. The garden is managed by the OWL (Our World Leaders) team, who created a business plan for the garden while learning science, math and business skills. The festival features music, games, fresh stawberries and vegetables, a petting zoo and lots of fun things to do. Pine Jog Elementary invites all of the members of the community to support its biggest fundraising event of the year.
