Do you like strawberries? How about a Strawberry Festival?
The Pine Jog Elementary School began this annual festival three years ago and was created to celebrate the harvest of Pine Jog’s 4,000 plant hydroponic gardens and its abundant strawberry crop. The garden is managed by the OWL (Our World Leaders) team, who created a business plan for the garden while learning science, math and business skills. The festival features music, games, fresh stawberries and vegetables, a petting zoo and lots of fun things to do. Learn To Protect Yourselves Against Criminals Who Commit Crimes On Women
Sexually based crimes against women are still dramatically high. According to the United States Department of Justice somewhere in America someone is sexually assaulted every two and a half minutes! Source: Rape, Abuse and incest National Network
“It is imperative that women become educated in preventive techniques to stop violence and rape before they occur. The program presented by Mr. Smith is well researched, comprehensive and concise. Mr. Smith made himself and his knowledge of self-defense available to our students in a comfortable and non-intimidating atmosphere. We strongly encourage Mr. Smith’s program to those interested in promoting educational awareness of women against domestic violence and abuse.” Pamela B. Gould, R.N. Health Services, Becker College.
