It’s Mardi Gras Time!

Tuesday, February 21st, 2012 is Fat Tuesday.  Famously known as “Mardi Gras”.  Break out the beads and pick a mask that best suites you because Mardi Gras, which is one of Florida’s top events too, is upon us once again this year.  One of the most popular days of celebratory gluttony filled with costumes and beads and food and more!  You will find that you just don’t have to go to New Orleans to celebrate Fat Tuesday. Here are some of the Fat Tuesday events you won’t want to miss!                                                                                      

Celebrate Mardi Gras in the RA at RA Sushi on Tuesday, February 21st. Starting at  7:00 pm (and going until close), RA Sushi will be hosting their own version of Fat Tuesday with a celebration that you’re not going to want to miss. There will be food and drink specials offered, along with festive decor and entertainment. Special dishes for the evening include — a Spicy Chicken and Shishito Green Necklace, a noodle dish tossed with chicken, green and red bell peppers, onion, garlic, chili sesame sauce, and shishito peppers, garnished with Sriracha and black sesame seeds for $7;  a Chili Shrimp Roll — an amped up Viva Las Vegas Roll topped with spicy crab mix, crispy spicy shrimp, cilantro, jalapeno, and Sriracha for $8; Spicy Kalbi Beef — grilled beef short ribs marinated in a spicy black pepper soy sauce, served over grilled red and green bell peppers and onions for $9; and 2 special drinks — Southern Julep with Southern Comfort, Makers Mark, simple syrup and mint and a HurRAcane with Southern Comfort, fresh fruit juices, lemon lime soda, simple syrup and grenadine  – both for $8.
